We are very sad to say that we have lost a son and a dear friend to Hands Across the Planet to Poor Youth (H.A.P.P.Y.).
Christopher M. Slaby was taken too soon from this Earth. Although he was only 20 years old, Chris had what some others don't--a huge heart. He has been a fond supporter of our charity and was for the poor people around the world. The passing of Mr. Chris Slaby is a loss suffered not only to us and to his friends and family. Today, the poor children of the planet have lost their friend and ally.
Let us remember Chris for who he was; a strong, young man that lived life to the fullest with the highest optimism. The children of Ethiopia and the many poor around the world will never regret and never forget that vigor.
